Advise and counsel all assigned students on CHHS curriculum requirements, vocational information, scholarship, and/or academic achievement problems. This role involves assisting students with academic, career, and college planning, including course loads, changes, withdrawals, and transfers of credit. The advisor will also support specific student populations such as those with special needs, evening students, probationary students, international students, and non-degree students. Additionally, the position contributes to in-service training for advisors and maintains relationships with various campus student academic and services offices. Adherence to university standards, policies, and procedures is required, as is participation in staff meetings and university committees. If applicable, NCAA, Mid-American Conference, and university policies must be followed. The role also includes coordinating the undergraduate student recruitment plan and performing other departmental duties as needed.
