The Office of Undergraduate Education seeks a passionate, committed professional to join one of the Thrive@Carolina Campus Hubs. This role is dedicated to providing student-centered, holistic, and seamlessly delivered support to students from acceptance through graduation. Thrive Advisors provide direct student support to an assigned caseload of students, helping them unlock their potential, activate their plans, secure their opportunities, and build their community. Additionally, Thrive Advisors will teach up to 4 sections of a 1-credit hour course, First-Year Thriving, each academic year, requiring them to meet minimum SACS Accreditation requirements for instruction. Hub staff are expected to bring positive energy and a collaborative mindset, partnering with campus staff, faculty, and colleagues to eliminate barriers to student success and ensure all students thrive. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to the liberal arts, a keen understanding and appreciation of utilizing an intersectional framework to support students, and demonstrated experience maximizing student engagement through highly effective communications and programming. This is a 12-month, full-time, permanent, EHRA Non-Faculty position that will require some evening hours and may have non-standard work hours.
