About The Position
This position will advise graduate students in Computer Science & Engineering department on academic programs, policies and procedures, transfer credits, students on probation, and will make recommendations when appropriate. The Academic Advisor will also assist the Manager of Academics in related duties.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related area
- 2+ years Experience in student advising or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to advise and provide solutions to problems.
Nice To Haves
- Master's Degree in Student Personnel Administration, Counseling, or other appropriate field.
- 2+ years Experience advising students at the college or university level, preferably in computer science.
- Knowledge of standard office software.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
