About The Position

Academic Advisor responsible for advising undergraduate students. Individual will conduct individual and group advising that includes academic planning, connecting students with appropriate university resources, and communicating relevant information; review semester grades and initiate outreach for academically at-risk students; teach first-year experience or transition course(s). Additional duties include working with new student and transfer orientation, supporting new advising initiatives, meeting with prospective students, supporting admission events, acting as a resource for faculty and other professional advisors, and serving on committees/working groups. Position affords opportunities for additional project-based contributions and cross-training development. Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Dean and/or Associate/Assistant Directors of Advising.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, earned by start date
  • At least three years of work experience in a relevant field OR Master’s degree earned by start date
