The Division of Strategic Enrollment Management and Student Success is searching for Academic Advisors to fill key roles in several Schools and Colleges within UWM. Finalists will be selected based on their skills and experience, as well as the best fit for a particular school or college within the University. Current vacancies include the School of Arts & Architecture, College of Engineering and Applied Science, First Year Bridge, and the Lubar College of Business. This is a full-time, renewable 12-month academic staff position. There may be the ability to work remotely at times (as determined by supervisor), upon successful completion of a standardized Academic Advisor training program. Academic Advisor engages students in decision making processes and promotes appropriate and responsible choices on academic matters such as course selection and degree requirements. Maintains appropriate confidentiality, updates student advising records, and contributes to the development and delivery of academic advising related events and programs. Works to ensure students receive accurate, timely, and holistic advising services in support of promoting student success, retention, and program completion. Strives to create a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive work environment.
