About The Position
Southeastern Louisiana University's Department of Athletics invites applications for the position of Academic Counselor for Athletics. The successful candidate will assist the Assistant Athletic Director for Academic Support Services in developing, implementing, and evaluating all aspects of the academic support program for student athletes. The broad purpose of this position is to assist in providing a well-rounded academic program for all student-athletes while creating effective strategies to address the needs of the at-risk population.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree from an accredited university.
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations in Division 1 Athletics.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Assistant Athletic Director for Academic Support Services in developing, implementing, and evaluating all aspects of the academic support program for student athletes.
- Assist in providing a well-rounded academic program for all student-athletes.
- Create effective strategies to address the needs of the at-risk population.
