This position at BLEYL MIDDLE SCHOOL is for the 2026-2027 academic year. The Academic Achievement Specialist will provide support to the administrative team and campus staff to foster a school culture that builds and maintains positive relationships with all students. This role involves supporting teachers with data retrieval and analysis from various systems like iXplore and Lexmark, and collaborating with instructional leadership to analyze disaggregated achievement data from District Progress Monitoring tests (DPM) and the State of Texas Academic Assessment Readiness (STAAR). The specialist will maintain electronic databases to track students not meeting expectations on assessments, and provide reports as requested. They will also assist in identifying students for intervention programs, monitor at-risk students' progress, and coordinate/facilitate interventions. This includes working with Grade Placement Committee meetings, providing information for "Response to Intervention" and special education referrals, and collaborating with the Student Intervention Team. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with campus staff to engage parents of at-risk students, attending relevant conferences and professional development, and sharing information with campus personnel. Training campus personnel on data usage is also a key responsibility. Related duties may include assisting with test administration and serving on campus committees.
