About The Position

1st Lake Properties is seeking a skilled and dependable AC Technician to join our maintenance team at our Crossings apartment community in Metairie, LA. We’re a locally owned and operated apartment management company dedicated to providing exceptional living experiences for our residents — and we know that starts with a strong, professional maintenance team. As an AC Technician, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining air conditioning and heating systems. You’ll ensure all HVAC equipment is operating safely and efficiently, helping to keep our residents comfortable year-round. You will also perform electrical, plumbing and appliance repairs; as well as prepare apartments for new resident move ins.

Requirements

EPA certification to work with refrigerant required; We can assist with testing and certification.
Minimum 2 years of HVAC experience preferred
Strong diagnostic and repair skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Valid driver’s license, tools, and reliable transportation required; We can assist with tools purchase if needed!
Must be able to participate in an on-call rotation

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including compressors, coils, and thermostats
Perform preventive maintenance
Troubleshoot and resolve heating and cooling issues quickly and professionally
Assist with general maintenance duties as needed, including electrical, plumbing, and appliance repairs
Respond to service requests and emergency calls in a timely manner
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
