About The Position

The Abrasive Blast Tech is responsible for removing contaminated shutters and shields from within a vacuum chamber and replacing them with cleaned ones on a daily basis. This role involves using sandblasting techniques to remove Anti-Reflective residue from shutters and shields, and following specific procedures for decontamination and oven drying. The technician will also perform general maintenance and housekeeping for the media blasting area and equipment, and adhere to Compactor Operation Standardized Operating Procedures. Communication and escalation with peers and principles are essential, as is maintaining the cleanliness of all equipment, workstations, and the facility. The role requires strict compliance with safety and health workplace environment regulations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience preferred
  • One (1) to three (3) years of related manufacturing experience preferred
  • Must be able to read English to understand written procedures, hazardous warning, etc.
  • Ability General mathematical skills to include basic adding, subtracting, multiplication and division

Responsibilities

  • Remove contaminated shutters and shields from within a vacuum chamber and replace/install with cleaned shutters and shields on a daily basis.
  • Properly remove Anti-Reflective residue from shutters and shields using sandblasting techniques.
  • Follow Weiser Rings decontamination and oven drying procedures.
  • Perform general maintenance and housekeeping to media blasting area and equipment.
  • Follow Compactor Operation Standardized Operating Procedures.
  • Communicate and escalate with peers and principles.
  • Ensure and maintain the cleanliness of all equipment, workstations and overall facility.
  • Practice and comply with all requirements promoting a safe and healthy work place environment debris.
