About The Position

The Hub Project is accepting applications for an internship on the abortion campaign to support the campaign’s efforts to fight back against attacks on our reproductive freedoms and rights. The campaign aims to educate the public about who is responsible for those attacks and share real stories to demonstrate the devastating consequences of abortion bans and restrictions. Our campaigns leverage a mix of grassroots organizing, research, and paid media tactics to advance the goals of The Hub Project and its allies. We are a fast-moving organization that is always ready to jump into the next fight, so the right person for the internship is not afraid of taking on new opportunities to move people to action and quickly responding to an ever-changing news cycle.

Requirements

Demonstrated interest in protecting abortion access and advancing reproductive freedom
Skilled researcher and writer with the ability to distill and explain complex policies for a broad audience
Organized and detail-oriented
Effective multitasker with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Works well in a collaborative team environment
Centers people in their work and leads with empathy and compassion

Nice To Haves

Professional or educational experience researching and tracking legislation on a specific topic
Experience working on progressive issue campaigns or at advocacy organizations

Responsibilities

Assist in identifying and tracking federal and state level attacks on abortion access
Support in gathering research and drafting materials for internal and external team needs
Provide logistical support on large-scale events throughout the planning and execution of events
Maintain existing internal organization materials for our storyteller network
Perform other duties as assigned
