About The Position

The ABL Senior Asset Manager will manage a portfolio of Asset Based Lending (ABL) transaction for the overall credit quality, collateral monitoring financial analysis, and risk mitigation while adhering to all operational/regulatory compliance. This role involves working closely with Truist clients to manage ABL loans, meet client needs, and perform ongoing portfolio monitoring within Truist risk tolerances. The position also requires active collaboration with other functional groups to ensure ABL attains its revenue, income, credit quality, and other financial objectives. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role.

Requirements

BA/BS degree
11-15 years of related work experience
Solid subject matter expertise including knowledge of industry drivers, product positioning, structuring and risk mitigation.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functional areas to resolve complex issues
Strong interpersonal skills which foster teamwork, trust, creativity/innovation and accountability
Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and insightfully

Nice To Haves

MBA degree, with a Finance focus
Diversified product structuring/underwriting/portfolio management experience

Responsibilities

Manage/mitigate credit risk of ABL portfolio transactions.
Complete on-time, accurate, well-articulated amendment memos, trend cards, and problem loan reports; maintain risk ratings and financial spread; maintain credit files, manage collateral diligence including review and analysis of field exams and appraisals and maintain regulatory requirements.
Understand and adhere to various Truist policies, processes, procedures and regulatory requirements.
Restructure and manage problem loans with input from risk partners.
Manage ABL credit, operational and market risk within pre-approved risk tolerance levels.
Work with originations, structuring, legal, compliance and risk partners to align strategic objectives, share market knowledge, and facilitate seamless execution.
Work closely with and develop junior talent.
