Requirements

Board-certified abdominal transplant surgeon.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a multi-organ transplant program.
Interest in academic medicine and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Must be board certified and eligible for unrestricted Florida medical licensure.

Nice To Haves

Clinical research background preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform approximately 50/50 split between liver and kidney transplantation.
Conduct living donor liver and kidney transplants.
Participate in monthly GI fellow and surgery resident rotations on the Liver Transplant Service.
Engage in research that shapes the future of care, including organ preservation and perfusion technologies, immunosuppression minimization, living donor transplant optimization, and equity and access to transplantation.
Provide comprehensive training in liver, kidney, and pancreas transplantation as part of the ASTS-accredited Abdominal Transplant Surgery Fellowship.
Mentor fellows and provide advanced surgical exposure, including robotic and laparoscopic techniques.
