About The Position

Inflector Environmental Services is seeking an Asbestos Abatement Supervisor to join their team in Coquitlam, BC. This is a full-time position primarily located in Coquitlam and surrounding areas. The Supervisor will lead abatement crews and oversee the safe, efficient, and compliant execution of asbestos, hazardous materials, demolition, and remediation projects. This role involves close collaboration with Project Managers and site teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to Inflector's quality standards. Requirements

  • 3+ years of asbestos abatement, hazardous materials abatement, demolition, or related construction experience.
  • Previous experience leading or supervising abatement crews.
  • Level 3 certification is required.
  • Strong knowledge of asbestos abatement procedures, containment systems, PPE, and safe work practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and follow project specifications, work plans, and safety documentation.
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Valid Canadian work authorization.

Nice To Haves

  • WHMIS and Working at Heights certification are assets.
  • Spanish is an asset.
  • Ability to obtain Secret Level Security Clearance is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate abatement crews to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to project specifications.
  • Oversee asbestos, lead, mold, and other hazardous material abatement and remediation activities.
  • Ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC, company policies, and project-specific safety requirements.
  • Lead daily toolbox meetings, hazard assessments, inspections, and safety discussions.
  • Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and daily site activities.
  • Monitor project progress, productivity, quality, and site conditions.
  • Provide direction, coaching, and training to crew members.
  • Maintain accurate timesheets, daily reports, and required project documentation.
  • Communicate with Project Managers regarding progress, site conditions, and any issues or changes.
  • Ensure proper handling, packaging, and disposal of hazardous materials and waste.
  • Perform hands-on abatement work as required.
