Unlocking The Spectrum (UTS) provides year-round therapeutic intervention for children with autism based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Requirements

  • RBT status
  • Interested in working within a center, home and/or community-based model.
  • Must be able to multi-task and use common sense in all matters.
  • Bachelor's Degree in ABA or related field is preferred, but not required
  • Experience working with children with autism is preferred, but not required
  • Positive team player and energetic professional
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills along with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Good judgment and creative thinking skills
  • Demonstrates creativity, flexibility and the ability to prioritize and problem-solve
  • Ability to communicate appropriately under varying conditions (considers the environment, people present)
  • Exercises discretion in private and sensitive matters
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Must meet background check requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Implement treatment goals under the direction of the Behavior Analysts (BCBA).
  • Provide 1:1 therapy to children with autism.
  • Document goal and program information/data collection throughout the day.
  • Provide feedback regarding client progress to program supervisor.
  • Teach communication, behavior, self-help, and social skills as stated in the treatment plan.
  • Help children with autism and other special needs to meet their goals using proven ABA methods in a variety of settings, such as the center, school, home, or community.
