About The Position

Carelinks is hiring Practicum Students who are currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an ABA Master’s program to support its in-home ABA team in Des Moines. This hands-on role provides field experience while supporting staff performance, client outcomes, and service quality. The student will work directly in homes alongside RBTs and BCBAs, providing coaching, support, and coverage as needed. Direct care coverage may be up to approximately 20 hours per week to help reduce cancellations. Local travel is required.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in or recently graduated from an ABA Master’s program.
• Have completed a minimum of 600 practicum hours.
• Have RBT certification or be willing to obtain it within 30 days of hire.
• Have SafetyCare certification or be willing to obtain it within 30 days of hire.
• Have strong coaching, modeling, and communication skills.
• Be comfortable working independently in home-based settings.
• Be willing to travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Support onboarding and competency-based training for new RBTs.
• Provide in-the-moment coaching, modeling, and feedback in home settings.
• Step into sessions to support staff working with higher-needs clients or challenging behaviors.
• Assist with in-person observations and data collection for assessments.
• Help maintain treatment integrity and reduce drift in implementation.
• Collaborate with BCBAs on implementing treatment plans.
• Provide direct care coverage, up to approximately 20 hours per week, to reduce cancellations.
• Identify training or support gaps and help address them proactively.
