About The Position

Carelinks is hiring Practicum Students to support our in-home ABA team in Des Moines. This is a hands-on role for someone in an ABA Master’s program who wants meaningful field experience while helping improve staff performance, client outcomes, and overall service quality.
You will be working directly in homes alongside RBTs and BCBAs, providing coaching, support, and coverage where it is needed most.

Requirements

• Enrolled in or recently graduated from an ABA Master’s program
• Minimum of 600 practicum hours completed
• RBT certification, or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire
• SafetyCare certification, or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire
• Strong coaching, modeling, and communication skills
• Comfortable working independently in home-based settings
• Willingness to travel locally (up to approximately 2 hours round trip as needed)

Responsibilities

• Support onboarding and competency-based training for new RBTs
• Provide in-the-moment coaching, modeling, and feedback in home settings
• Step into sessions to support staff with higher-needs clients or challenging behaviors
• Assist with in-person observations and data collection for assessments
• Help maintain strong treatment integrity and reduce drift in implementation
• Collaborate with BCBAs on implementation of treatment plans
• Provide direct care coverage (up to approximately 20 hours per week) to reduce cancellations
• Identify training or support gaps and help address them proactively
