About The Position

Butterfly Effects is hiring part-time ABA Behavior Technicians / Child Interventionists to work with young children affected by autism and their families. Treatment takes place in natural environments, most often in clients’ homes, and may also occur in schools or centers. Staff teach communication, sharing, play, waiting, and other essential skills through fun, play-based activities. Training is provided to help staff feel confident in their work. The role is a fit for someone outgoing, energetic, friendly, and interested in learning. The company offers education and training support, including guidance and financial assistance toward RBT and BCBA credentials. Compensation is $20–$25 per hour, based on experience, education, and certifications.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent minimum.
• Love and passion for working with children.
• Interest in learning.
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle.
• Web-enabled device, such as a laptop or tablet.
• Availability for at least three weekdays with the same availability.
• Availability from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Positive attitude and strong people skills for working with children and families.
• Ability to lift or move approximately 50 lbs. and maintain postures such as kneeling, squatting, sitting, and standing for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

• College coursework is a plus.
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is advantageous; the company will help staff obtain it if they do not already have it.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with children affected by autism and their families in natural environments, including homes, schools, and centers.
• Teach communication, sharing, playing, waiting, and other essential skills through play-based activities.
• Participate in training to develop the skills needed to instruct children affected by autism.
