About The Position

Butterfly Effects is hiring a part-time ABA Behavior Technician / Child Interventionist to work with young children affected by autism and their families. Treatment takes place in the child’s natural environment, most often at home, and also in schools and centers. Through fun, play-based activities, the technician teaches communication, sharing, playing, waiting, and other essential skills. Training is provided to help staff feel confident in their work. The position offers paid training and after-school hours, Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The organization supports employees pursuing Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification and, with guidance and financial assistance, further development toward Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credentials.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework is a plus.
• Love and passion for working with children.
• Interest in learning.
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle.
• Web-enabled device, such as a laptop or tablet.
• Availability for at least three weekdays with the same schedule.
• Positive attitude and strong people skills for working with children and families.
• Outgoing, energetic, and friendly disposition is identified as the best fit for the role.

Responsibilities
