About The Position

This position is part of the ABA program which operates out of our Mt. Airy location and is an in-person position two days a week and three days a week remote. Gemma Services is known for its quality programs that promote safety and nonviolence while cultivating a caring environment in a diverse and inclusive environment. Gemma Services strives to create a community that promotes recovery from trauma for the children and families that we serve. The ABA program is designed for children, teens, and young adults up to age 21 who are experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges. Our services are provided in schools, homes, and the community by Behavioral Consultants, Mobile Therapists, and Behavioral Health Technicians.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work or related human service field
  • Valid license for the practice of Clinical Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy or a valid license of Social Work or Behavior Specialist from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
  • LSW or BSL must have a graduate degree that required a clinical or mental health direct service practicum
  • Minimum of 1 year of full-time experience providing ABA and a minimum of 12 credits in ABA or one year of full-time experience providing ABA under the supervision of a BCBA and a minimum of 40 hours of training related to ABA
  • A minimum of three (3) years' related experience normally required, including experience working in ABA and behavioral health
  • Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills
  • Proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills
  • Ability to evaluate cases using treatment plans, progress notes, Critical Incident Reports, etc.
  • Ability to identify clinical issues and determine appropriate interventions in cases
  • Thorough knowledge of related standards, regulations, and procedures
  • Proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Office software
  • Familiarity of utilizing EMR
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills
  • Interpersonal skills sufficient to interact with sensitivity with clients, families, office staff and external agencies

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supervising the BHT-ABA staff in the ABA program and monitoring compliance with adopted best practice standards/treatment models
  • Implementing strategies to achieve goals developed for the department as part of the organization’s annual operating plan
  • Ensuring compliance with operating policies and procedures and outside regulatory requirements
  • Directly supervising assigned personnel
  • Providing comprehensive ownership and oversight to assigned clinicians, cases, and team members, communicating with appropriate management and staff personnel
  • Providing periodic reports
  • Operates with Gemma’s UNITED values and the Gemma Way to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality services in alignment with IBHS/ABA best practices
  • Cases will be assigned to ensure that the minimum billing requirement of 8 hours per week is met
