About The Position

Join Dominion Care as a Registered Behavior Technician Level 1 (RBT)! Dominion Care is seeking qualified applicants to fill this role on a part-time basis, with hours typically within the 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM time frame. This position requires driving to clients’ homes, and mileage reimbursement is provided. As a Behavior Technician, you will support children in building essential skills and gaining greater independence in an evidence-based, data-driven role. The Behavior Technician is primarily responsible for working one-on-one with a child with autism, or similar disabilities, inside the child’s home or clinic. The ability to follow directions and maintain a professional demeanor at all times is critical. During the first 4 weeks, staff are expected to complete all trainings, complete the competency assessment, and take the RBT exam. Following the training period, staff will be expected to bill a minimum of 28 hours within a 40-hour work week, which may be a combination of clinic and in-home sessions. The goal is to maximize billed hours to support productivity and staff earnings. Staff will also complete indirect work such as entering data, updating paperwork, cleaning/organizing, and attending supervisions and trainings. Requirements

  • High School Diploma OR GED
  • Eligibility to pass the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) exam

Responsibilities

  • Implement daily therapeutic activities under the direct supervision and delegation of a Behavior Analyst.
  • Implement Individualized Service Plans with clients and client families/caregivers as delegated by a Behavior Analyst.
  • Pass and obtain the RBT certification.
  • Coordinate with other service providers working with clients to encourage consistency among client families/caregivers and all providers.
  • Communicate with families/caregivers within their scope of practice.
  • Complete all required documentation including behavioral data, daily notes, and weekly billing records in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensure all documentation on assigned clients meet Medicaid and other federal, state, or BACB required regulations.
  • Develop program materials and ensure appropriate materials are available during client sessions.
  • Participate in supervision on a weekly basis with a Behavior Analyst or Assistant Behavior Analyst to discuss client updates, progress, or concerns.
  • Attend and participate in all scheduled staff meetings and trainings.
  • Provide transportation of client as needed as part of natural environment sessions.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures and complete other tasks deemed necessary for the successful operation of the program.
  • Maintain professional and ethical standards at all times.

  • Complete all trainings, complete the competency assessment, and take the RBT exam during the first 4 weeks.
