About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Area Director (BCBA or BCBA-D) to lead the clinical and operational performance of multiple regions across Southern California. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving results, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring the highest standards of clinical quality and compliance. This position sits at the top of the clinical leadership structure and is ideal for a data-driven leader who thrives in accountability-driven environments and knows how to scale teams effectively.

Requirements

Active BCBA or BCBA-D certification
5+ years of post-certification ABA experience
2+ years of Director-level experience overseeing both clinical and operational performance
Proven track record managing KPIs and a region
Strong experience with payer requirements, compliance, and clinical documentation
Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and drive accountability across regions

Responsibilities

Full oversight of regional performance and key quality and performance indicators, including utilization, supervision, retention, client outcomes, and strengthening regional capacity and access.
Leadership and development of BCBAs, Supervisors, and Behavior Technicians
Clinical quality, documentation standards, and audit readiness
Staffing strategy, scheduling optimization, and caseload distribution
Cross-functional alignment with recruiting, scheduling, and operations teams
Client satisfaction and payer relationships, including escalations and partnerships
