We are looking for an experienced Ab Initio ETL Developer with strong expertise in data engineering, ETL development, and performance optimization. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Ab Initio tools, Python-based data processing, and working with large-scale datasets in an enterprise environment, preferably within financial services.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Ab Initio development
  • Strong expertise in ETL design and development using Ab Initio tools
  • Hands-on experience with Python for data engineering tasks
  • Experience working with Oracle or other relational databases
  • Proven expertise in performance tuning and optimization
  • Strong understanding of data modeling concepts
  • Experience in financial services domain (mandatory)
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Basic awareness or working knowledge of AI tools and technologies

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Ab Initio (GDE, Co-Operating System, and EME)
  • Develop and implement conductors, vectors, and metaprogramming techniques
  • Work on PDL, resource pool management, and dynamic lookups
  • Build scalable data pipelines using Python for data processing and automation
  • Perform data modeling, database design, and performance tuning
  • Work extensively with large datasets in Oracle or other relational databases
  • Optimize Ab Initio graphs for performance and efficiency
  • Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and ensure high-quality deliverables
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and translate data requirements
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term solutions
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers
  • Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance standards
