About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Ab Initio Developer to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and enterprise data solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Ab Initio tools, data engineering, and database technologies, along with experience in the financial services domain. This role involves hands-on development, technical leadership, and close collaboration with stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with Ab Initio tools: Conduct>IT, Continuous Flows, Metadata Hub
  • Expertise in Ab Initio graphs, vectors, and metaprogramming
  • Expertise in Resource pool management and dynamic lookups
  • Proficiency in Python for data engineering and automation
  • Strong experience in SQL, PL/SQL, and shell scripting
  • Deep understanding of data modeling, database design, and performance tuning
  • Experience working with large-scale data processing systems
  • Knowledge of data governance, lineage, and metadata management frameworks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the Financial Services domain (mandatory)
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Basic exposure to AI tools and Machine Learning concepts/models
  • Experience mentoring junior team members

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain data integration solutions using Ab Initio (Conduct>IT, Continuous Flows, Metadata Hub)
  • Build and optimize scalable data pipelines using Python for data processing and automation
  • Develop and optimize Ab Initio graphs for performance and efficiency
  • Work extensively with vectors, metaprogramming, resource pools, and dynamic lookups
  • Perform data modeling, database design, and tuning for high-performance systems
  • Handle large datasets in relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, etc.
  • Develop and optimize SQL/PL-SQL queries and shell scripts
  • Implement and ensure adherence to data governance, lineage, and metadata management practices
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Lead code reviews and enforce development best practices
  • Troubleshoot production issues and deliver sustainable long-term fixes
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership
  • Ensure data security, governance, and compliance standards are met
  • Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies
