About The Position

The Line Maintenance Manager reports to the Director of MX. The Line Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of all maintenance activities at Honolulu and outlying stations pertaining to aircraft maintenance. This role is considered a working manager, open and willing to provide hands-on support and assistance as needed. The manager is responsible for all property, equipment, parts, and materials at their assigned location and ensures that all safety and accident prevention measures are fully enforced, revising and correcting such procedures as warranted. They have the authority to hire, discipline, and discharge personnel within their area of responsibility.

Requirements

  • High School equivalency and 4-year degree in a technical/aeronautical field or equivalent work experience required.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a current FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate.
  • Minimum Two (2) years manager experience or 3 years supervisor experience.
  • Five (5) years air carrier maintenance is required.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to travel and be available to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts.

Nice To Haves

  • Air carrier supervisory experience preferred.
  • preferably in a lead position.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and Maintenix preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Is responsible to the Director of MX for the implementation and procedural enforcement of Aloha Air Cargo’s maintenance department policies and procedures.
  • Ensures proper distribution of manpower for work performance efficiency, flight schedule compliance, and the attainment of Airworthiness.
  • Assists mechanics in investigating and correcting sources of trouble on Company and customer’s aircraft and spot checks their work to ensure compliance with all specifications and safety standards. Responsible for decisions involving maintenance being performed under his/her supervision.
  • Recommends and submits suggestions for obtaining equipment to perform maintenance work in an efficient and economical manner and instructs subordinate employees in its use.
  • Communicate aircraft status and maintenance progress to the Maintenance Leadership Team.
  • Provide timely updates to Operations Control and other departments as required during shifts. Ensure accurate and clear communication of shift activities and any aircraft issues.
  • Ensure assigned personnel maintain training compliance.
  • Is responsible for all property, equipment, parts, and materials at his/her assigned location.
  • Makes certain that all safety and accident prevention measures are being fully enforced and revises and corrects such procedures, as warranted.
  • Has authority to hire, discipline, and discharge personnel in his area of responsibility.
  • Reviews bi-weekly timecard to ensure accurate and timely processing of Mechanic payroll within their scope.
  • Is considered a working manager, open and willing to provide hands on support and assistance as needed.
  • Shall be responsible for any additional duties delegated by the Director of MX.
