About The Position
Under the direction of the Audio/Visual Services Supervisor, the incumbent provides complete audio/visual technical support for events property-wide. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent with one (1) year of related experience. The technician must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, overnights, and weekends. The position involves working in an indoor/outdoor commercial atmosphere with pedestrian traffic that is noisy and often crowded.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of related experience
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, overnights, and weekends
- Working knowledge of computerized sound and lighting equipment
- Working knowledge of production camera and video switchers
- Working knowledge of RF and cable television
- Working knowledge of video, video aspect ratios and video formats including HDTV
- Working knowledge of all types of projector and display units
- Experience working in a meeting center / hotel environment handling professional presentation equipment
- Knowledge of operation, use and terminology related to sound reinforcement, video, lighting and audio/visual methods, materials and devices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain a professional attitude while working under pressure
- Ability to meet deadlines with a constantly changing event schedule
