This position is responsible for maintaining high production, quality, and yields while ensuring the safest working environment possible. It requires an essential understanding and control of the production process, accurate record keeping, and general line maintenance and staffing. The role involves checking daily production orders, ensuring all positions are filled before start-up, overseeing Team Member morning exercises and job rotation for ergonomics, and ensuring machinery performs to the highest standard. Additionally, the supervisor ensures workstations pass USDA Inspection, promotes safety daily and through monthly meetings, and ensures accurate shipments, inventory rotation, and proper product coding. This position also involves communicating company benefits and compensation policies, encouraging Team Members, and performing human relations functions such as training, retaining, and counseling. Other duties include overseeing various processing operations, collaborating with other supervisors to solve problems, keeping records of reworked or returned product, and providing continuous education on quality.
