About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced A&P Mechanic to support the maintenance, inspection, and airworthiness of company aircraft. This position is responsible for ensuring FAA compliance, minimizing aircraft downtime, coordinating maintenance activities, and maintaining accurate maintenance records. The ideal candidate will possess strong general aviation maintenance experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting operational readiness.

Requirements

  • Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required.
  • Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred or eligibility to obtain IA required.
  • General aviation maintenance experience required.
  • Strong understanding of FAA regulations, maintenance documentation, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair aircraft systems independently.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and paperwork accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with maintenance teams, flight crews, and leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working on Cessna 208 Caravan aircraft preferred.
  • Experience with Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6 engines preferred.
  • Previous experience in airline line maintenance or field maintenance operations preferred.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience overseeing junior mechanics or apprentices preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure airworthiness and FAA compliance of all logs, records, and maintenance documentation for assigned aircraft.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and timely maintenance paperwork and records.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Coordinate and communicate with local and remote maintenance facilities regarding aircraft maintenance activities.
  • Clearly communicate aircraft status, maintenance concerns, and operational impacts with the Senior Director of Maintenance (SDOM).
  • Forecast maintenance requirements and proactively identify potential maintenance needs.
  • Communicate effectively with flight crews regarding aircraft discrepancies, maintenance items, and operational status.
  • Minimize aircraft downtime by taking ownership of assigned aircraft maintenance and ensuring timely completion of required work.
  • Oversee and mentor junior mechanics and apprentice technicians.
  • Maintain accurate work orders within Quantum by documenting: Work performed, Labor hours, Parts installed, Aircraft maintenance status updates.
  • Participate in on-call airline line maintenance support approximately one week per month.
  • Travel occasionally as needed for aircraft inspections, maintenance events, and repair support.
