About The Position

This position will work on our 1st shift, which is Monday-Friday from 7am-3:30pm. As the A&P Technician, you will perform a variety of duties, including, but not limited to servicing, operating, maintaining, repairing and removing equipment. You will conduct technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to products in accordance with specific customer specifications. You will manage technical products, services logistics and provisioning, quantity surveying, and configurations to assigned customers. You will also troubleshoot technical problems and issues, recommending actions to company or customer representatives while assessing product needs in accordance with customer specifications. Up to 25% Travel as required. Pratt & Whitney in Cypress, CA is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40. Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with 6+ years of experience working as an A&P Technician
  • Active A&P License
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Aviation Maintenance Management
  • Previous experience with the inspection of engine parts, troubleshooting, refurbishment, repairs and return to service of engines, modules and components
  • Heavy hangar/FBO/field experience - rigging, R&I, MRP's, aircraft interface
  • Shop/Bench refurbishment experience
  • Airframe experience with Pratt & Whitney Canada (PWC)-powered aircraft
  • Previous Customer service experience
