About The Position

Perform aircraft maintenance and accurately complete all aircraft paperwork to insure safety in a timely manner. This role requires proficiency in using FAA approved data such as IPC, MM, OHM, and SRM. The mechanic will follow the maintenance lead for efficient performance of duties, prioritizing safety in all maintenance performed on aircraft, powerplants, or airframes, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and company requirements before approval for return to service. Responsibilities include documenting maintenance in accordance with FAA regulations and company policy, ensuring they only perform maintenance on aircraft they are qualified for, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. Accurate and timely submission of maintenance records is crucial.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree GED required.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years related experience and or training.
  • Must have an A&P License issued by the FAA.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Valid Driver license

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years aircraft maintenance experience OR similar mechanical experience, preferably with general aviation
  • Familiarity with all FAR and aviation standards

Responsibilities

  • Perform aircraft maintenance and accurately complete all aircraft paperwork to insure safety in a timely manner.
  • Use FAA approved data i.e. IPC, MM, OHM, SRM proficiently.
  • Follow maintenance lead for the "efficient" performance of their assigned duties.
  • Ensure that safety is the primary factor in maintenance performed and that, regardless of scheduling, the maintenance performed on an aircraft, powerplant or airframe, was performed safely and IAW applicable FAA regulations and Company requirements, prior to the approval for return to service.
  • Ensure that the maintenance and documenting of maintenance performed is done in accordance with the FAA regulations and company policy/procedures, as applicable for the tasks they perform.
  • Ensure that they do not perform maintenance on an aircraft, powerplant or airframe that they are not qualified on, in accordance with the applicable FAA regulations.
  • Ensure that facilities, aircraft, ground support equipment and work areas are maintained in a clean and organized manner and IAW company standards.
  • Ensure that maintenance records entries for "work performed" are completed properly and IAW FAA requirements and applicable company policies and or procedures.
  • Ensure that that maintenance records are submitted in a timely manner and IAW company policy, as applicable.
  • Work independently.
