About The Position

Yingling Aviation is hiring A&P mechanics at all experience levels to perform maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting and repairs on Cessna Citation business jets in its Wichita, Kansas Citation Department. The role is an on-site 7th-shift position with little or no management on site. Mechanics are expected to work independently, make sound decisions, keep accurate records and provide a clear turnover to the next shift. Starting grade and hourly rate are based on verified aircraft maintenance experience. The published grade rates are $32.00–$48.00 per hour; the 7th-shift differential adds $3.00 per hour across all 40 paid hours. The stated pay range is $35.00–$57.00 per hour, with overtime paid at time and a half. The schedule is Friday through Sunday, 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.; employees work 36 hours and are paid for 40. The position works to FAA regulations, manufacturer manuals and company procedures. Maintenance records must be completed accurately before Quality Assurance inspection; inspection and return to service are issued by QA under the repair station certificate. Mechanics coordinate with Quality Assurance, Planning, Engineering and Parts, and keep their crew lead informed. Senior-grade work can include advanced troubleshooting, engine runs, special projects and modifications, ownership of inspection events, and training and mentoring junior mechanics. Yingling Aviation describes itself as a full-service aviation company and boutique-style MRO, with investment in training and employee development. The A&P mechanic ladder has three grades, with advancement reviewed every January against written objectives; strong performers may advance before the minimum time at a grade. The company offers in-grade merit increases and reassesses its pay scale annually.
