About The Position

The A&P Mechanic (Licensed Mechanic III) position is with the StandardAero Houston team, supporting heavy maintenance and inspection of business aircraft. This role involves performing detailed airframe maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on various corporate jet platforms, including Learjet, Embraer, Hawker, Challenger, Gulfstream, and Falcon. The work is conducted in a collaborative, high-performance MRO environment where safety, precision, and teamwork are paramount.

Requirements

  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience performing airframe maintenance on turbofan engine corporate aircraft.
  • Available to work 1st Shift, with flexibility for overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to read and interpret OEM maintenance manuals and schematic diagrams.
  • Able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in physically demanding conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on business jet airframes and systems.
  • Remove and reinstall turbofan and turboprop engines for inspection and maintenance.
  • Conduct operational checks, engine runs, and leak checks to verify serviceability.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, landing gear, flight control, and other airframe systems.
  • Evaluate removed components for serviceability; document and resolve discrepancies.
  • Read and interpret maintenance manuals, blueprints, and technical data.
  • Perform fuel tank sealing and other specialized structural tasks as required.
  • Accomplish Service Bulletins, Repair Letters, and Airworthiness Directives in accordance with FAA and OEM standards.
  • Document all work performed clearly, accurately, and in compliance with StandardAero procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality standards in a professional MRO setting.
