About The Position

HeliService USA is seeking an experienced and dedicated hoist operator to join our team in Sabine Pass, Texas. As part of our dynamic team, you will work and fly on a fleet of AW169 helicopters, ensuring their maintenance and operational readiness for challenging and essential missions. You will conduct offshore hoist operations both day and night to facilitate marine pilot transfers to vessels. Join a team committed to excellence, safety, and mission success.

Requirements

  • A&P Certificate required.
  • Prior hoist and/or aircrew experience.
  • Annual “fit for duty” physical required.
  • Work Authorization/Sponsorship: Applicants must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa.
  • Must be physically able to push/pull/lift, unload, and maneuver heavy equipment and/or luggage in excess of 70 pounds for extended periods of time; must have physical dexterity sufficient to perform repetitive tasks and motions, including bending at the waist and knees, climbing, balancing, squatting, kneeling, crawling, twisting and sustaining those positions for extended amounts of time in aircraft cargo holds and baggage bins. The employee must have sufficient hearing and vision and ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of helicopter maintenance experience.
  • Three (3) years’ previous experience on a dedicated rotary-wing SAR or hoist aircraft serving as a Helicopter Hoist Operator (Winch Operator).
  • Night SAR unaided and/or NVG Operational experience.
  • Familiarity with Leonardo family of aircraft (AW169/AW139).

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily and periodic inspections, repair and maintenance of engines, and airframes as required by manufacturer guidance, industry best practices, FAA regulations, and company directives.
  • Be well versed in a variety of hoisting situations day and night, to include but not limited to high hoists, confined area, elevated platform, and vessel operations.
  • Be responsible in the cabin for passengers and inform the pilots when cabin is ready, ensuring harbor pilots and any other passengers are seated within CG limits and that equipment is stowed and secured.
  • Maintain flight currency and training minimums as applicable.
  • Ensure cleanliness of company equipment such as aircraft, vehicles, offices, hangar, and living quarters.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Chief Aircrewman or Base Lead.
