Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree or technical certificate in Aviation Maintenance preferred.
Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required.
Minimum of six (6) years of progressive aircraft maintenance experience and/or training in the business aviation, corporate aviation, commercial aviation, or military environment.
Demonstrated experience performing complex aircraft maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, modifications, or repairs.
Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and understand aircraft maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, work instructions, and other technical documentation.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Ability to obtain and maintain required company and regulatory training and qualifications.
Advanced knowledge of aircraft maintenance practices, inspection procedures, troubleshooting techniques, and aircraft systems.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot complex maintenance issues.
Ability to independently perform complex maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated ability to provide technical guidance, coaching, and on-the-job training to less-experienced technicians.
Strong understanding of FAA regulations and company maintenance procedures applicable to aircraft maintenance operations.
Ability to accurately interpret and apply aircraft maintenance manuals, service bulletins, engineering data, drawings, and other technical documentation.
Strong knowledge of proper tooling, equipment, and maintenance practices required to perform aircraft maintenance safely and efficiently.
Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated commitment to quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with Quality, Inspection, Engineering, Planning, and other maintenance personnel.

Willingness and ability to mentor junior technicians and contribute to the development of the maintenance team.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled inspections, routine servicing, troubleshooting, modifications, and complex maintenance and repair activities on various aircraft types.
Provide technical guidance, on-the-job training, and instruction to junior technicians regarding maintenance procedures, troubleshooting techniques, tooling, and acceptable maintenance practices.
Complete all assigned maintenance activities in accordance with work orders, incoming inspections, manufacturer service bulletins, CAMP cards, maintenance programs, and other approved technical documentation.
Perform advanced aircraft maintenance and modification activities, including structural or interior modifications, corrosion repairs, landing gear removal and installation, engine removals, and other complex maintenance tasks within the technician's qualifications and authorization.
Interpret and apply aircraft maintenance manuals, engineering data, service bulletins, drawings, work instructions, Comlux Repair Station Manual (RSM), Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), and other applicable technical documentation.
Troubleshoot complex aircraft systems and maintenance discrepancies and develop appropriate solutions using approved maintenance practices and technical data.
Ensure all maintenance work is properly documented and signed off in accordance with company procedures, regulatory requirements, and applicable inspection requirements.
Partner with Quality and Inspection personnel to ensure compliance with internal quality standards, FAA requirements, inspection requirements, and maintenance documentation procedures.
Perform component removal and installation activities and ensure required documentation, identification, and traceability requirements are completed accurately.
Conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate aircraft system performance, reliability, and proper operation following maintenance activities.
Demonstrate effective maintenance and repair techniques, including proper use of tooling, equipment, and approved maintenance practices.
Mentor and support junior-level technicians by providing hands-on instruction, technical guidance, and feedback to improve their knowledge, skills, and overall performance.
Ensure assigned maintenance activities are completed efficiently and within established schedule requirements while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Identify potential maintenance, safety, quality, or schedule issues and communicate them to the appropriate Lead, Supervisor, or Manager.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment and ensure proper use of required personal protective equipment, tooling, and safety equipment.
Maintain current knowledge of applicable aircraft systems, maintenance procedures, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
