About The Position

The A&P Line Mechanic supporting operations line must accurately repair and perform scheduled maintenance on all airplanes and perform inspections as required by the FAA. This role fully analyzes all required blueprints, drawings, work orders and sketches to troubleshoot, repair and install desired product or part. The mechanic detects errors and corrects them through proper departmental channels. They will professionally train and lead other employees in proper work techniques and assist the shop with meeting schedule needs to make on-time delivery of the aircraft to support missions. The role involves inspecting all aircraft parts for damage prior to installation, accurately estimating hours and materials for scheduled jobs, and working effectively with engineering in recommending design enhancements and productivity improvements. The mechanic will operate all required ground support equipment and effectively troubleshoot and repair all aircraft and customer systems. Prompt and regular attendance is expected.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.
  • Minimum three (3) years' of aircraft-related experience.
  • Pratt & Whitney PT6.
  • Aircraft Movement.
  • Knowledge of all aircraft mechanical systems functions and interactions.
  • Thorough working knowledge of all current FAA regulations, IPC and ATA codes.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • US Citizenship is required to obtain/maintain a United States Security Clearance.
  • Must pass a DOT/FAA regulated drug screening.
  • Must be able to obtain a passport.
  • Mechanical and Technical Aptitude.

Nice To Haves

  • Six (6) years' of aircraft-related experience.
  • Prior project management experience.
  • Prior training experience on aircraft mechanical systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of all aircraft mechanical systems functions and interactions.
  • Inspection Authorization Endorsement.
  • Veteran Preferred.
