About The Position

The A&P Mechanic is responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of flight school aircraft. The mechanic will be accountable for completing all work in accordance with AeroGuard Company procedures and requirements, as well as all applicable regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Airframe and Powerplant license required at the time of hire.
Must be able to obtain Inspection Authorization within three months of hire.
A minimum of three recent and consecutive years of GA experience as a certificated A&P.
Must have strong interpersonal and team building skills.
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must have the ability to read and understand technical data such as maintenance manuals, parts catalogs, engineering drawings, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives.
Must have knowledge of federal regulations relating to Title 14 parts 43 and 91.
Can work independently with the ability to make airworthiness decisions.
Ability to manage workflow and adjust priorities as needed.
Must be familiar with Microsoft Office and able to learn Talon RMS computer maintenance program.

Nice To Haves

Experience on Piper aircraft is preferred.
G1000 experience is a plus.
High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Aircraft maintenance: 3 years (Preferred)
Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of flight school aircraft.
Completing all work in accordance with AeroGuard Company procedures and requirements, as well as all applicable regulatory requirements.
Assuring that work areas are kept clean and organized.
Troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, and performing maintenance on company aircraft in accordance with applicable technical data and FAA regulations.
Making aircraft logbook entries and releasing aircraft for return to service.
Finding ways to keep busy or help others.
