About The Position

Simard Automotive is hiring an experienced A-Level Automotive Technician / Diagnostic Technician / Automotive Mechanic for our Fairbanks location. This role is for a high-level technician who can diagnose drivability and electrical issues correctly the first time and wants to earn top-tier pay in a structured, professional shop. We are seeking an Automotive Diagnostic Technician (A-Level) capable of advanced electrical diagnostics, check engine light diagnostics, drivability troubleshooting, engine and transmission repair, HVAC diagnostics and repair, brake and suspension diagnostics, using scan tools and lab scopes, OEM service data, and completing digital vehicle inspections (DVI) with clear documentation. This is not an entry-level or parts-swapping role; we are looking for a technician who tests before replacing and takes pride in zero comebacks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience
• Strong diagnostic and electrical skillset
• Experience with OEM data systems (AllData, Mitchell, Identifix, etc.)
• Ability to work efficiently in a team environment
• High integrity and professionalism

Nice To Haves

• ASE certifications preferred
