Automotive A Level Technician / Mechanic | Up to $50/Hr & Weekends Off | Barry Road
About The Position
Christian Brothers Automotive is seeking an energetic, upbeat automotive technician with a positive attitude, a passion for doing what is right for guests, and heavy line experience. The technician diagnoses and repairs vehicles across a wide range of domestic and foreign makes and models, completes accurate and honest courtesy inspections, and works with the service department and fellow technicians to resolve guest concerns efficiently. The role is at an independently owned Christian Brothers Automotive franchise location in Kansas City, Missouri. The shop is climate-controlled and offers modern diagnostic equipment, factory scan tools, ongoing training, and live technical support.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
- Heavy line experience.
- Ability to diagnose and repair all makes and models of vehicles.
- Positive attitude and desire to serve guests.
- Aptitude and willingness to learn additional skills and processes.
- Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
- Desire for long-term career development.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds.
- Ability to work with tools on vehicles lifted above the technician's head and in tight spaces.
- Dexterity to use hand tools efficiently.
- Ability to walk or stand for most of the workday.
- Ability to drive manual-transmission vehicles.
- Ability to navigate a computer efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair vehicles for guests.
- Build experience working on a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles.
- Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
- Work as part of a team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively.
- Follow and promote high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
- Work closely with the service department and communicate concerns effectively.
- Collaborate with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver distinguished results.
- Meet or exceed hourly goals.
