The A&E Handling / Storage, Transportation Lead is responsible for the overall daily supervision, safety, coordination, and management of Ammunition and Explosives (A&E) handling, storage, and transportation operations in support of SWFPAC and MCSFBN. This role oversees the receipt, storage, issue, sentencing, and accountability of Hazard Class/Division 1.1 through 1.4 explosives and ammunition; leads and schedules qualified, certified, and properly licensed ammunition transportation personnel and vehicles supporting on- and off-station live-fire training and qualification ranges; and ensures compliance with Navy, Marine Corps, and DOD ammunition safety, security, and handling regulations. The incumbent serves as a designated Functional Area Lead and reports program status and compliance in writing to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
