About The Position
The A&D Sales Representative is responsible for cultivating and managing strong relationships with architects, designers, and other specifiers to drive brand awareness and secure product specifications. In addition, this role leads targeted sales initiatives that support A&D outreach and broaden brand visibility. The ideal candidate will bridge creative sales strategies with deep industry relationships, positioning our brand as a go-to solution in the design community.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in A&D sales, preferably within the building materials sector
- Strong understanding of the design and specification process
- Experience in creating and executing sales strategies
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and marketing tools (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp, Canva)
- Valid Driver's License and dependable transportation for client visits and on-site meetings
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with Revit, CAD, and design-related software is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage relationships with architects, designers, developers, and contractors
- Schedule and lead lunch & learns and product training sessions
- Promote our products and services to be specified in commercial projects
- Serve as a design resource - offering technical support and design collaboration
- Stay informed on design trends and clients need to provide timely product solutions
- Actively participate in industry events, tradeshows, and association activities (ASID, IIDA, etc.)
- Develop and execute sales strategies that support A&D engagement and brand growth
- Collaborate with internal teams to create sales collateral, presentations, and digital content tailored to the design community
- Create and coordinate email campaigns and social media content targeted for A&D audience
- Focus on top-tier design firms with high-volume, high-value project potential
- Identify key decision-makers (architects, designers, spec writers, project managers, etc.) to secure specification approval
