About The Position

THIS RECRUITMENT IS LIMITED TO CURRENT EMPLOYEES OF THE MDH WICOMICO COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT ONLY. GRADE 16 LOCATION OF POSITION MDH Wicomico County Health Department 108 East Main Street Salisbury, MD 21801 Main Purpose of Job The main purpose of this position is to lead lower level addiction counselors working in the Outpatient Program (OP) and with clients in the Medicated Assistant Treatment program by providing clinical oversight and guidance. This position also provides individual, group and family counseling services to clients. This position will work with Buprenorphine prescribers, nurses and clients to meet needs. This position is designated as emergency essential.

Requirements

Must be certified by the Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists as a Certified Associate Counselor-Alcohol and Drug.
May be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
Subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with Code of Maryland Regulations 17.04.09, Testing for Illegal Use of Drugs.

Nice To Haves

Experience with the MAT program and how to schedule clients.
Experience in communicating with local agencies.
Experience with managing caseloads to include authorizations and treatment plans.
