This role involves performing all tasks and responsibilities associated with TA and B Class status. The tradesman will be responsible for the layout, prefabrication, and installation of various components including bulkheads, doors, ceilings, shelving, furniture, consoles, and all attachments from drawings with minimal supervision. This includes marking out, shooting pins, and insulating deck head, side shells, beams, and ducting. The position also requires measuring, building, and installing pads, running and cutting fittings on pipe coverings, and lagging them with minimal visible seams. The tradesman will also run metal, operate shear and break machinery, read metric and standard tape measures, and take drawings to job sites with materials to work with minimal supervision. Additionally, the role involves measuring and installing ducting and fittings, mounting and installing equipment like valves and air hangers, and laying out hangers, pens, and ducting. A functional working knowledge of blueprints and construction information is essential, as is the ability to understand the principles of interior painting and accomplish the task.
