About The Position

This position involves developing, supervising, and administering the Greenfield-Central Cheer program. The role includes providing instruction, planning, and coordinating practices during the season, throughout the school year (including limited contact periods), and during the summer. The Assistant Cheer Coach will also collaborate with the Principal and Athletic Department to develop the competition and practice schedule.

Requirements

• Perform all administrative duties as assigned by the Varsity Head Coach and the GCHS administration.
• Maintain knowledge of the sport, coaching techniques and follow the rules of the governing cheer associations.
• Assist in overseeing the security, maintenance and improvement of the cheer facilities and equipment.
• Assist in the yearly evaluations of all aspects of the cheer program.
• Demonstrate the ability to successfully lead and work with the student-athletes, parents, fellow coaches, administration and community.

Nice To Haves

• Successful coaching experience at the high school level is preferred but not required.
