About The Position

The City of Jersey Village is looking for calm, dependable, and motivated individuals to join our emergency communications team as a Part-Time 911 Dispatcher. Requirements

• Stay calm under pressure
• Communicate clearly and confidently
• Can multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Have strong computer and customer service skills
• Want to serve the community and grow within public safety
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to learn Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts
• Must pass a background investigation and drug screening

Nice To Haves

• Emergency dispatch experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Answer emergency and non-emergency calls quickly and professionally
• Gather important information from callers during stressful situations
• Dispatch Police, Fire, and EMS personnel efficiently and accurately
• Provide pre-arrival instructions, including CPR and first aid guidance when needed
• Monitor radio traffic and support emergency responders in the field
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of calls and incidents
• Coordinate communication with outside agencies during emergencies
