About The Position

We are seeking a reliable driver to transport student groups and staff in 9-seater vehicles for university-related activities and events. This role involves ensuring the safe transportation of passengers and adherence to university transport policies. If you are on an hours-limited visa, it is your responsibility to ensure you do not exceed the working-hour restriction Monday - Sunday, each week. This is a legal restriction that must be adhered to for work completed both within and outside of Jobshop.

Requirements

• Full UK manual driving licence (Category B) held for at least 1 year.
• Aged 18+ with a clean driving record (no major claims/convictions in the last 5 years).
• Must complete the Cardiff SU Driver Registration and a brief 45-minute training assessment.
• Strong timekeeping, safety-conscious, and comfortable driving a large passenger vehicle.
• Must hold a full UK manual driving licence (Group B) for at least 1 year.
• Must have completed the driver training with SU transport
• Applicants should have a clean record for the last 5 years regarding medical claims or no excessive points (max 4).

Responsibilities

• Safe transport of up to 8 passengers per trip.
• Conducting pre-journey vehicle safety checks.
• Adhering to Cardiff University Students’ Union transport policies.
• Transporting student groups or staff, adhering to SU Transport Guidelines, and performing basic vehicle safety checks.
