About The Position

This posting is for an 8th Grade Algebra 1 position at Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts (CSLA), a K-12 Paideia Magnet school. This specific role is for 8th Grade Algebra 1, and it is noted that CSLA does not currently offer 8th grade Math. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• Valid Tennessee teaching license in Mathematics 6-8, 6-12 Mathematics OR current enrollment in an accredited teacher preparation program
• Positive, student-focused educators with strong content and classroom management skills
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
• Committed to high expectations and academic achievement for all students
• Open to feedback, coaching, and continuous growth

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Title I or high-need school settings is a plus
• Passion for supporting the whole child academically and socially

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess effective instruction aligned to Tennessee state standards
• Design engaging lessons with clear objectives and measurable outcomes

Benefits

• Salary Scale based on education and experience – starting at $50,000.00
• Eligible positions may qualify for additional pay under the Differentiated Compensation Plan
