About The Position

St. Frances Cabrini Academy is seeking a dedicated and mission-driven Part-Time Afternoon 7th Grade Teacher to join our Catholic school community. This position is responsible for providing high-quality instruction, fostering a supportive and faith-centered classroom environment, and promoting the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth of students. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong instructional practices, effective classroom management, collaboration skills, and a commitment to Catholic education.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field required
  • Valid state teaching certificate preferred.
  • Previous teaching experience at the middle school level preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging learning experiences and maintain effective classroom management.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds, abilities, and learning needs.
  • Commitment to fostering a faith-filled learning environment consistent with Catholic values.
  • Proficiency with educational technology and digital learning tools.
  • Successful completion of all required background checks, Safe Environment training, and Archdiocesan requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with school and Archdiocesan curriculum standards.
  • Provide instruction for 7th grade students during afternoon classes and assigned instructional periods.
  • Mentor and collaborate with a partner teacher to support student learning and classroom success.
  • Create and maintain a structured, respectful, and welcoming classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Integrate Catholic values, teachings, and faith formation into classroom instruction and culture.
  • Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments and provide timely feedback to students and families.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic, social, and emotional needs of learners.
  • Maintain accurate student records, attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, students, faculty, and administration regarding student progress and classroom activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration to support curriculum implementation and student achievement.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development activities, parent conferences, and school events as required.
  • Uphold school policies, procedures, and the mission of Catholic education.
