About The Position

St. Frances Cabrini Academy is seeking a dedicated and mission-driven Part-Time Afternoon 7th Grade Teacher to join our Catholic school community. This position is responsible for providing high-quality instruction, fostering a supportive and faith-centered classroom environment, and promoting the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth of students. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong instructional practices, effective classroom management, collaboration skills, and a commitment to Catholic education.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field required
Valid state teaching certificate preferred.
Previous teaching experience at the middle school level preferred.
Demonstrated ability to create engaging learning experiences and maintain effective classroom management.
Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds, abilities, and learning needs.
Commitment to fostering a faith-filled learning environment consistent with Catholic values.
Proficiency with educational technology and digital learning tools.
Successful completion of all required background checks, Safe Environment training, and Archdiocesan requirements.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree preferred.
Valid state teaching certificate preferred.
Previous teaching experience at the middle school level preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with school and Archdiocesan curriculum standards.
Provide instruction for 7th grade students during afternoon classes and assigned instructional periods.
Mentor and collaborate with a partner teacher to support student learning and classroom success.
Create and maintain a structured, respectful, and welcoming classroom environment conducive to learning.
Integrate Catholic values, teachings, and faith formation into classroom instruction and culture.
Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments and provide timely feedback to students and families.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic, social, and emotional needs of learners.
Maintain accurate student records, attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
Communicate effectively with parents, students, faculty, and administration regarding student progress and classroom activities.
Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration to support curriculum implementation and student achievement.
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development activities, parent conferences, and school events as required.
Uphold school policies, procedures, and the mission of Catholic education.
