Requirements

Bachelor's Degree (required).
Valid state teaching certification for the grade level, possibly with endorsements.

Responsibilities

Plan and teach engaging science and social studies lessons, incorporating diverse learning styles and incorporating relevant technologies.
Develop and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding and progress, providing constructive feedback.
Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and learning.
Work with other teachers, special educators, and school staff to support student needs and implement school-wide initiatives.
Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and academic performance.
Stay current with advancements in teaching methodologies and integrate new knowledge into their practice.
Create lesson plans that align with state and national standards, incorporating relevant content and activities.
Utilize technology to enhance lessons and engage students, creating a 21st-century learning experience.
Provide individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to meet diverse student needs.
Analyze assessment data to identify areas where students need additional support and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
Communicate with parents about student progress, behavior, and any concerns or needs.
