About The Position

Highline Academy is hiring a 7th grade math teacher for its Southeast Campus. Reporting directly to the campus principal, the teacher plans and delivers rigorous, engaging, standards-aligned instruction, supports students’ academic and personal development, and collaborates with colleagues and families. Teachers are expected to build inclusive, academically focused classrooms; use assessment data to guide instruction; and contribute to a strong, collaborative school community. Teachers are salaried, year-round employees. The schedule includes 177 student contact days plus professional development and parent conference days. Teachers must be on campus and ready for students by 7:30 a.m. and remain until 4:00 p.m. on school days; on Fridays with early student release, they stay until 4:30 p.m. Teachers also attend required after-school meetings and events, including professional development, family engagement activities, and conferences, and complete up to two weeks of summer professional development. Work outside the formal calendar, including planning, reflection, collaboration, and professional growth, is an essential expectation of the role. Middle school teachers teach in four daily blocks, have one content preparation period, and have a period for collaboration and planning. They also teach a differentiated WIN block in smaller classes and a rotating elective block that supports the social-emotional curriculum. Teachers have access to collaborative planning structures, social-emotional and academic MTSS systems, curriculum tools, benchmark assessments, and a dedicated coach supporting differentiation and supplementation. The position requires a valid Colorado teaching license or eligibility to obtain one, demonstrated success teaching the subject in middle school, and a commitment to Highline’s mission, values, equity, and inclusion. This is a full-time position on the Teacher pay scale, with typical starting pay of $60,000 to $90,000 depending on relevant experience. Highline offers comprehensive benefits, PERA participation, and generous paid time off.
