About The Position

STEM Academy is seeking a dynamic and student-centered 7th/8th Grade Combo Teacher to deliver instruction across all core content areas (ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies) in a small, supportive learning environment. This role is ideal for an educator who thrives in a flexible, relationship-driven setting and is committed to helping students who may need a non-traditional pathway to success. Class sizes are intentionally small, allowing for individualized instruction, strong student-teacher relationships, and targeted academic support.

Requirements

• Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate (or ability to obtain)
• Ability to teach multiple subjects effectively
• Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills

• Highly Qualified in core content areas preferred
• Experience teaching middle school students preferred
• Flexible and adaptable in a small school environment
• Strong organizational and instructional planning skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver standards-aligned instruction in ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies
• Design and implement engaging, differentiated lessons
• Integrate STEM-focused, project-based learning opportunities
• Build strong relationships with students using restorative practices
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on data
• Collaborate with staff and participate in PLCs
• Maintain a structured, positive classroom environment
