About The Position

The Boys & Girls Club of Worcester is seeking reliable and responsible 7D Van Drivers to join their team in newly created part-time positions. These roles are crucial for ensuring the safety and well-being of Club members while providing a positive transportation experience. The Boys & Girls Club of Worcester serves over 500 kids daily and is dedicated to guiding the youth of the community toward a fulfilling and meaningful future by providing diverse programs and services in an enriched environment. As a non-profit organization and one of the largest youth development agencies in Central Massachusetts, they aim to make a positive impact in the community.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid MA driver’s license with a continuous three year clean driving record.
• 7D License
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and motor vehicle records check.
• Familiar with child safety requirements and proper use of safety belts.
• CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience transporting children, ages 5 - 13.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport Club members after school between centers, schools or community locations after school in Worcester.
• Ensure passengers are secured safely in the vehicle following child safety guidelines.
• Coordinate with supervisor regarding daily schedule and routes.
• Ensure timely pick-ups and drops offs.
• Maintain a clean and organized van and report any maintenance needs immediately.
• Complete all required paperwork daily.
• Participate in state or Club required trainings on at least an annual basis.
• Position contingent on passing a criminal offender record information check (CORI), national background check and an EEC fingerprint background check.

Benefits

• Recognize thirteen holidays annually and our centers are closed. Additionally, if the holiday falls on a weekend day, we will be closed the Friday or Monday closest to the holiday.
